Has anyone been going to the alternate frequency of 14.240 Mhz. for the Sunday morning net? I have been listening on 21.410 at 1700Z for the past few months but due to the poor propagation have only been talking with local station Chuck, WA6FGK.
Two weeks ago while passing through Sacramento, CA I ran into Dick WD6EDR by chance on a wide area 2 meter repeater. He was back at his home QTH in Auburn after many years on the road with his camper. That same trip I also ran into Thurman WB6NJC in Bakersfied by chance on 146.52 simplex.
On my last trip back to Wisconsin in May I hooked up with Kevin N9UOK in Fond du Lac on a local UHF repeater.
So it is nice to hear some famaliar voices again in spite of no communication on HF. Can't wait until the propagation is back.
